FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

How long will the patch stay in place?
This mostly depends on what kind of activities you are doing while wearing the patch. Our team has done various tests where the patch has stayed on for as long as 15 days. If you are doing any activities with a lot of exposure to water and dirt, this will shorten the life of the patch. Although patches will stay adhesive for up to 14 days, we recommend that users replace the patch every 4 to 5 days. Replacing the patch more frequently ensures that the patch does its job in protecting your sensor. For maximum durability, we recommend cleaning the skin with Skin Tac or a similar product before applying the patch.
Is My Sugar Patch reusable?
No, My Sugar Patch is meant to be a one-time-use application.
Do I need to shave before applying My Sugar Patch?
While shaving is before applying My Sugar Patch is not necessary, it will definitely help the patch adhere to the skin better. For normal use, we do not recommend shaving. However, if you are an endurance athlete or a regular swimmer, shaving will greatly improve patch performance.
Are patches easy to remove?
My Sugar Patch is easy to remove. It is important to slowly remove patches so they do not also remove the CGM sensor. We recommend holding the CGM sensor in place while pulling on the patch to safely remove.
